The Royal Show 2009
|
|
What
a great honour it was to be part of the showing force at
what is said to be the last Royal Show. The number of exceptional
cattle was obvious to all throughout the cattle lines and
what a shame it is that this has had to come to an end.
The
blues had a fantastic line of animals of all ages and Danny
Wyllies bull, Ballygrange Alex and John Mawers cow, Immediate
Et 2840 De Mehonge brought tears to many eyes winning the
reserve champions in the Burke Beef championship. There
were 19 different pairs in total representing their breed,
and it really was a spectacular sight to see.
We
had a great show, it was our first time exhibiting there
and our little homebred heifer, Darcia came home with a
4th place out of a large, impressive group of heifers. Bluberry
also came home with a respectable 4th place.
Due
to un-forseen circumstances, we were un able to take any
others, but hope to have them back out again before the
end of the season.

| So
far there has been about 25 commercial calves born, all
calving naturally and one pedigree calf out of our own Pawton
Wisteria who was also born naturally. |
Shows
2008 |
We
had a successful year in 2008, Wisteria achieved some great
results winning a number of reserve champions, one breed
champion and reserve interbreed champion.
Bonnie had a reserve champion and Wisteria and Bonnie together
made fatastic pairs to take two interbreed pairs championships. |
